Surviving a Boom: Nashville’s Growing Pains and Opportunities

Joey Garrison reports on Metro Nashville government for The Tennessean. He previously covered K-12 trends inside Nashville’s public schools, larger policy decisions at the state level and the intersection of politics and education for The Tennessean. Garrison, who grew up in Franklin, arrived at The Tennessean in 2012 after working for three years covering Metro government for The City Paper in Nashville. Last year, the Washington Post’s “The Fix” blog named Garrison one of the best political reporters in Tennessee.
