OZ Family Day links kids, art, music

By Jen Todd

Kids’ imaginations can run free at OZ Arts Nashville’s Family Day, with activities from local organizations.

The event celebrates the installation of Paul Dresher Ensemble’s Sound Maze, which allows guests to experiment with sounds and instruments.

Children can also make rubber band guitars with Whimsikids, doodle in a collaborative chalk mural with Andee Rudloff, practice tai chi with the Chinese Arts Alliance, delve into Shakespeare with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and more. Food trucks and vendors will also be present.

Doors open at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rinde Eckert will perform on the Sound Maze instruments at 1 p.m. OZ is at 6172 Cockrill Bend Circle. Tickets are $25, free for ages 12 and younger. Details: www.ozartsnashville.org/family-day-2015.
