When OZ Arts first opened its doors, the Scene’s editor Jim Ridley wrote, “if ever a place promised an escape from its surroundings, it’s an oasis of creative energy hidden in a stretch of institutional West Nashville wasteland — an area that’s about to become a magnet for world-class talents both outside and inside the city.” Two years later, that oasis shows no signs of drying up — OZ just announced its third season, which is filled with the top-shelf performers we’ve (almost) gotten used to seeing in the massive warehouse space. But alongside the big names (Bang on a Can and Kaki King among them), OZ will host several offerings from homegrown talent that may put it in its most influential role yet.
