Family Day at OZ Arts Nashville

Art is meant to be shared. And that’s the premise behind OZ Arts Nashville and its second annual Family Day. With indoor and outdoor arts activities for young people and their families, the event showcases dozens of local artists and community organizations, including Nashville Shakespeare Festival, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Chinese Arts Alliance, Urban Green Lab and more.

Anchoring this year’s event is Paul Dresher Ensemble’s Sound Maze with Rinde Eckert, a unique exploration of sound that features 15 invented musical instruments and sound sculptures. Audience members are invited to discover and create new sounds, and the installation will remain open for interactive play Aug. 16-18.

Activities run 11 a.m -4 p.m. Aug. 15 at OZ Arts Nashville, 6172 Cockrill Bend Circle. Tickets $25 (free for kids ages 12 and under), available at ozartsnashville.org.
