What started out as a simple quest for lighting has become one of Kaki King’s most fascinating works. And that’s saying something, when you consider the extraordinary depth of this innovative composer/guitarist’s resume.

Known for her distinctive percussive style and diverse range, the Brooklyn-based artist has been called “a genre unto herself” by Rolling Stone. But with her groundbreaking multimedia work “The Neck Is a Bridge to the Body” — on stage at OZ Arts Nashville Jan. 22 and 23 — she takes audiences on a truly unique musical journey.
