SEASON 2 SPONSORS AND CORPORATE PARTNERS

Nashville Companies See Value In Partnering With New Groundbreaking Contemporary Arts Institution

NASHVILLE, TENN., December, 2014 – OZ Arts Nashville, the new 501(c)3 contemporary arts organization in West Nashville, is attracting more than just thousands of ticket purchasers for its impressive roster of “Brave New Art.” Nashville businesses are stepping up to support this exciting nonprofit institution with sponsorships and partnerships as a show of support for OZ Arts Nashville’s mission.

OZ Arts is only midway through its second impressive season, and they already have several new corporate partners, including UBS, Choice Foods, Courtyard Marriott Green Hills, DEX Imaging, Fivestone Studios, Griffin Technology, jakprints and Uber.

“During this holiday season, we especially want to express our gratitude for the support of the many Nashvillians who have come out to OZ this year to see our fantastic artistic performances,” said OZ Arts President and CEO Tim Ozgener. “We are also very excited about the many businesses that have supported us as partners and sponsors.  OZ Arts offers something new and different—something that has played to sold out audiences and received rousing accolades in the local and national media.   It is a clear demonstration that Nashville is ready and excited about the contemporary arts offerings we provide here at OZ.”

Upcoming programs that still remain in Season 2 are:  13 Most Beautiful…Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests; The Language of the Future, Laurie Anderson; Trisha Brown Dance Company; and, the World Premiere of Phantom Limb’sMemory Rings.

In addition to the Season 2 artists brought to Nashville by OZ Arts, the organization also supports talented local artists with their Thursday Night Things (TNT).  TNT is a curated series of unexpected collaborations by Nashville-based artists who are given an opportunity to turn the non-traditional performance space into a unique visual expression of their work.  Recently, Griffin Technology and jakprints supported the TNT program InstrumentHead, which featured the work of local photographer Michael Weintrob.

“Griffin Technology is proud to be part of a new arts scene that not only brings world-class arts to our city, but also allows excellent local artists a chance to showcase their own unique design ideas and have a way to explore and present their craft to those that have an appreciation for the arts,” said Mark Rowan, president, Griffin Technology.

In October, UBS became a sponsor in a most unusual way—the financial institution supported OZ Arts with its downtown tower to serve as a “stage” for the vertical dance company BANDALOOP to present their extraordinary work.  In a one-time only production, the dancers danced down the side of the 27-story tower to the delight of thousands of downtown workers and three buses of spellbound school children.  UBS then sponsored the dance company’s performance at OZ Arts.

Jerry Johnson, managing director of Nashville’s UBS facility, said, “What a great opportunity to support contemporary art – one of the many areas that UBS supports globally – as well as supply a unique lunchtime show for Nashvillians of all ages.”

OZ has also introduced a membership program this year for individuals to support this nonprofit contemporary arts institution and its mission to bring the best contemporary arts possible to Nashville. There are many levels of sponsorship available with corresponding benefits. Here is the link for more information about membership: http://www.ozartsnashville.org/membership
