In Cuervo, brothers Óscar Jr. and Cosme Castro — French-Chilean theater artists and the sons of revered Santiago playwright Óscar “Cuervo” Castro — blend visual storytelling, documentary, and deeply personal testimony into a moving exploration of memory, resilience, and the enduring power of art. Inspired by their father’s autobiography, the work retraces his experience creating theater while imprisoned in a concentration camp during Chile’s military dictatorship, revealing how imagination can become an act of survival in the face of unimaginable oppression.
