Originally hailing from the New York City region, phil began their career in the music industry working for Warner Bros. Records in the Sales and Marketing division. In 2009, he pivoted his career by starting his own marketing and branding agency, BAM! in Nashville, TN. What was meant to be a means to an end, turned into business that grew by more than 1000% over the course of its’ 12 year trajectory from 3 small business clients to over 100 multi-national clients. In 2020, after a being served a bucket of lemons, including uncovering a web of deceit with former employees, a catastrophic tornado, two burglaries, two insurance lawsuits, and a pandemic, phil’s path was made clear and he decided that a new journey was necessary for his next chapter.

phil has been actively involved in the Nashville community over his time thirteen years in Music City and has actively served on a number of different boards and commissions, where they were often requested to engage in leadership opportunities.

In 2021, phil led the founding of inclusion tennessee, a new organization that is focused on embracing opportunities of collective impact in the region, creating programs that are focused on health and wellness that allow members of our community to flourish, and to build a space that allows us to gather to learn, live, celebrate and uplift one another in a safe and supportive environment.

Over the last five years, phil has also had the pleasure of serving as President of the Historic Buena Vista Community Association, a Member at Large of the Davidson Country Foster Care Review Board, a Member at Large of the Davidson County Short Term Rentals Board, Secretary of the Board for Nashville Emerging Leaders, Community Affairs Director and President (2017-18) of Nashville Pride and also Member at Large of the PENCIL Board.

phil has also participated in a variety of leadership and educational programs including Nashville Emerging Leaders (2016), the MBA-Mini Program at Belmont University (Class of 2017) and the New Leaders Council – Nashville Chapter (Class of 2018). He has been featured in a number of magazines and newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Nashville Business Journal (40 under 40 in 2018), and many other regional publications and television shows.
