Kevin was appointed by Mayor John Cooper in October 2019 with the highest priority to stabilize Nashville’s financial position — a challenge that became more daunting amidst devastating tornados, the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest, and a bombing of the city’s historic downtown area.

Kevin is the Director of Finance for Metro Nashville. In this role, he is Chair of Metro’s Investment Committee and board member of its Audit Committee, Employee Benefits Board, and Airport Authority. He has served numerous community organizations as a volunteer and board member, including Nashville’s Symphony, Zoo, and Habitat for Humanity.

He was appointed by Mayor John Cooper in October 2019 with the highest priority to stabilize Metro’s financial position, a challenge that quickly turned more daunting amidst the City’s response to devastating tornados, the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest, a most recently a bombing of Nashville’s historic downtown area.

Prior to public service, Kevin is best known for leading high risk financial restructurings of corporations and community organizations. He is a Vanderbilt MBA and holds professional credentials in accounting, insolvency & restructuring, and valuation. Kevin has been admitted as a financial expert in US Federal Court and has been recognized by journals and professional organizations for his business accomplishments.

Kevin is an aviation enthusiast, holding pilot licenses for planes and commercial drones, and is currently immersed in the redevelopment of the John C. Tune airport which was mostly destroyed by tornados in March 2020. The Tune airfield is adjacent to Oz Arts Nashville.
